Louis Moore Bacon is the founder, Chairman and principal investment manager of Moore Capital Management, LP (“Moore Capital”). Moore Capital, founded in March 1989, is a private investment management firm that invests in the global financial markets and private equity markets.
Mr. Bacon is also the Founder and Co-Chair of The Moore Charitable Foundation, Inc. (“Foundation”). Started in 1992, the Foundation supports conservation non-profits that ensure the preservation of land, water and wildlife habitats for future generations. Recently, Mr. Bacon was recognized for his commitment to conservation with several honors, including the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) Lifetime Conservation Achievement Award, the Audubon Medal, the Chairman’s Leadership Award from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the Land Trust Alliance President’s Award from 1,700 land trusts across the country.

The Moore Charitable Foundation, founded by lifelong conservationist Louis Bacon in 1992, is a family foundation that works to preserve and protect natural resources for future generations. Ann Colley, Director of Public Relations and Charitable Giving at Moore Capital Management, is the Executive Director and Vice President.
The Foundation and its affiliates support non-profit organizations that work to protect land, habitat, and water resources in specific geographic priority areas including Southern Colorado, Northern New Mexico, Long Island, Eastern North Carolina, The Bahamas, and Panama. Affiliates include The Trinchera Blanca Foundation, The Tercio Ranch Foundation, The Taos Ski Valley Foundation, The Robins Island Foundation, The Orton Foundation, The Moore Bahamas Foundation, and The Islas Secas Foundation.
